I have worked on IBM Mainframes for most part of my IT career. I have developed a lot of Mainframe applications on cobol, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM etc which are mostly business specific. Unlike on system I, I didnt get much chance to write utility programs and tools on Mainframes. However in this page, I have compiled my collections of downloadable ebooks and reference materials on various mainframe topics which will be quite helpful to Mainframe programmers. These materials helped me learn and understand Mainframes as a beginner and even now once in a while I go back to these for reference. The main online resources to learn mainframe is ofcourse the ibm mainframe bookshelves library and ibmmainframes.com. Below are the links to the two: IBM Libraries: Link to the IBM knowledge database IBM Mainframes.com: Link to the IBM Mainframes.com Introduction to Mainframes | |
